I have two lots of bird feeders out - a bird tray for the robins, thrushes, blackbirds who happily eat anything that drops as well, and then a hanging pole with nut & fatball feeders for the blue tits, green finches & sparrows as they cling on to feed.
I love watching the birds from the house as I go about my daily business, even our house bunnies see off the ground birds when they come out to run around ...
However, we do have a regular squirrel, sometimes a pair, who raid the hanging feeders
I am always amused by their antics & agility as they go about getting to the food.
On the whole, I do not mind their occassional visit but know that they can become a pest soon enough.
What are your feelings on squirrels in the garden? Pests or tolerated?

Now I love seeing them - it always gives me joy.....
ReplyDeleteI agree Tipsy Tart, however they are rather greedy feeders but it is interesting to watch their antics in the garden & on the fences ...
