I was gifted a large collection of blue & white China about 15 years ago. It had been in Olive’s attic because she didn’t like it which is why it spent decades in a box in her attic. However, she noted that I like blue & white china so the numerous boxes were dusted off & gifted to me, along with a 12 place cutlery set.

I previously blogged about it, a traditional pattern that is used by several makers which makes it very versatile because you can mix with other makers. I only have a few of the Royal Copenhagen items in a pattern that matches the Johnsons, Furnivals & Mason patterns.
I do not use it enough & this past week I had a good tidy of the cupboard where it is stored. I juggled it around to make it easier to access & use. There is loads of certain smaller plates & cups of various sizes as well as 4 gravy boats. However, they are useful for apple sauce too so they do get used.
The old platters in various sizes go well with the more modern covered bowls & I resolved to use it more often now. I popped the bright pink serviettes alongside it & the contrast really is beautiful.
What colours / patterns would you use with it? Do tell because I need inspiration to use it more often …
Thank you for stopping by, it is always appreciated.
