The bunting is up, it is Diamond Jubilee time

It is now time to get ready for a 4 day weekend to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. It is just so lovely to see everyone entering into the spirit of things after a rather depressing few months of economic woes.

How lovely is this - seen in Shrewsbury ...

St. Mary's church in Shrewsbury was flying the flags today

and at home - yes, we are determined to do our bit too as our inglenook fireplace has cheerful girlie Union Jack bunting ...

and the sideboard has a bit of a patriotic feel to it too

The champagne is cooling; bunting is out; a cake will be baked as I found the loveliest decorations (more on that later on ... ) and we look forward to the great atmosphere to honour the Queen who has given the nation 60 years of unstinting service!

If you are celebrating, have fun & post pictures, otherwise have a great weekend everyone.
