The last Sunday of Advent brings PEACE

 … and just like that, the fourth candle is lit on the Advent ring, all four candles burning together & a reminder that there is little time to Christmas. 

The four candles are for:

                      HOPE, LOVE, JOY, PEACE

I have a central candle to burn on Christmas morning with our breakfast when we are together.

These candles have provided quiet, reflective moments each week, the passing of time reminds one of the empty chairs & thankfulness for those with us. 

 Have a blessed last Sunday of Advent.

PEACE on the last Sunday of Advent

 I send PEACE to all on the last Sunday of Advent. It is needed in the world where there is so much dissent. 

The four Advent candles burn together, having been lit progressively over the last month, each burning down more than the next one lit ... 

HOPE

LOVE

JOY

PEACE 

We need love, hope  & peace to bring joy in to our spaces. 

Four important messages to take forward to Christmas day with you. Make peace with the things that trouble you, speak with kindness to create a ripple in the world. It needs more of that ...

The four Advent candles are lit ...

Hi everyone, 

Is it possible that we are now at the Sunday before Christmas? 

We have now lit all 4 Advent candles - one each Sunday and this coming Sunday - Christmas Day, I will light the white one along with the others while we have breakfast together. 

I love the flickering light as it ~ s l o w s ~ the time down & reminds us what is really important this time of the year. 

Amidst the rush to create the perfect Christmas, breathe deeply, slow down, practice gratitude for the blessings you have and the troubles you don't,  seek solitude amidst the noise and most of all, be kind - the last 3 years have bruised people .... 

The traditional meaning of the Advent candles, 

First candle - purple for HOPE 

Second candle - purple for LOVE

Third candle - pink for JOY

Fourth candle - purple for PEACE 

Fifth candle on Christmas eve - ivory for CHRISTMAS

The fourth Advent Sunday

The last Advent Sunday has arrived which means that Christmas is very near.

These were the first three:

As we light the last of our 4 Advent candles, it is a time of anticipation & excitement for the festive season.

With Christmas close by, we remember the meaning of Christmas & celebrate the angels who feature in the scriptures at Christmas time.

I will pause & think specifically of those not with us at this time, especially my Mother who had her birthday on Christmas Day; however, we will be thankful for those who are still with us.

Be blessed on this last Advent Sunday before Christmas.
