A diner with a difference ...

I have often passed this interesting diner in Staffordshire but have always been coming or going somewhere so have not had the time to stop & investigate it.

I grew up in South Africa with some interesting road houses so this looked like a good place to visit as it had a bit of character & character is always good!

While out this past week, we took the time to stop in & see what makes it stand out.

They had obviously gone to a lot of effort to make it look authentic & it was interesting to look at.

We don't generally do fast food but daughter pronounced her 'hot chocolate brownie sundae' to be very good ...

The manager was tolerant of us taking photos & we enjoyed our visit - something a bit different ....

Do you do fast food & interesting places when out?

Thanks for stopping by, please leave your details so I can return the favour & visit your blog too!

  2. So we go to English tea rooms and you go to American diners. We're a funny lot aren't we (:

I've gotten out of the habit of fast food ~ and prefer home cooked. Although we have a diner near our house, and occasionally enjoy a burger

    1. We certainly are a funny bunch Susy; we seldom do fast food Susy so this was a change; I love nothing better than a roast & heaps of vegetables at a favourite country pub and to be honest - that would have still been my choice! Thanks for stopping by & always leaving a comment!

  3. Wow, that seems like a nice place to go too. We don't do much fast food either, but good food is always a treat, right?

Thank you for that beautiful comment on my blog. I'm honoured that you took out the time to search for me on the net. I absolutely love your blog, and your photography (and that of Mr. Snook's) on flickr. And as a fellow blogger I can appreciate the time you put into your blog.

Enjoy your tour! Looking forward to more posts from you!

    2. Thank you, thank you, thank you sooooo very much for the gifts you sent, Mrs. Snook! Abbo (what we call our father) arrived home for the weekend today and the first thing he did was to show me the gifts. They are absolutely wonderful!
I loved the notebook and the stationary case. Just what I need for college. And the keychain is just superb!
I love the fact that they symbolize England. As soon as the weekend is over, someone's going to show-off to friends at college... :)
Thank you once again. And thank you for your appreciation. That certainly means a lot. :)
