Food festival time in the Shire

Christmas in Shropshire means lots of food festivals & Frost Fairs.

This year, my good friend The Tipsy Tart was doing a local food & craft fair so she stayed over with us.

Her flavoured vodkas are fabulous & she also does cocktail evenings at various venues

Supporting local, independent businesses is something I am passionate about.

If we want vibrant high streets with interesting goods, we must support local fairs, markets & businesses to make this happen.  After the horse meat scandal this year, I resolved to shop locally more often as they often know their suppliers personally & know the supply chain is short & ethical. That is something we should all give more thought to.

These were some of the other traders that we supported:

Julia of toot sweets chocolates has absolutely wonderful homemade chocolates ...

A wonderful time sourcing new things for the festive season, enjoying lots of samples & tasting food & drink - really recommended.

Please support local businesses because your high street deserves to be vibrant & independent!

Thanks for stopping by - it is always appreciated,
Dee ~♥~
