The fireplace is decked ....

A favourite festive activity is to deck to fireplace as we don't have a hall ....

Ours is a generous inglenook which looks so homely once the large green garland is stretched in to place.

Our deer-decorations continue on the fireplace with several tucked away in the garland & deer pegs on the card hangers.

My large brass deer are on the inglenook shelf - supporting the Christmas stockings. They have been given their own berry garlands.

My a wondering star daughter crafted a gorgeous wooden tree with lights & this is enjoying pride of place in front of the fire with a lovely gifted poinsettia  adding colour & festiveness to the space.

The advent calendars are hung on either side too & the advent candles are placed on the coffee table, ready to be lit each night as we settle in after supper.

Our large faux deer head has mellowed with her elegant white garland - I rather like her new look.

So it is beginning to feel festive at last as our 'deer' tree gently merges with our normal décor ...

Are you ready? Please share your festive photo links because I love seeing how everyone else gets ready. Thanks for visiting & taking the time to leave a comment.

  1. I love your Deer Themed decorations! I am a firm believer in themes for holiday decorating. This year we are red and white, all a bit Scandinavian. Your deer would fit right in. They are beautiful!
